Nuits-Saint-Georges
Le Tribourg 2023
Nuits-Saint-Georges is one of those magical names that visitors recite like a rosary. Known the whole world over, Nuits-Saint-Georges has
the original profile of a genuine wine village, but on the scale of a small town.
Origin
Halfway between Dijon and Beaune, and with an easterly exposure, the vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges spread over 6 kilometres, with 160ha of Village-appelation vines. The range of soils, exposure and locations here creates a great diversity of terroirs. The area is bisected by the valley of the Meuzin river, and the village itself.
Tribourg' in Old French means 'beyond the village'. In fact, in 1362, the Nuitons built a fortification that had to be passed to reach Tribourg!

Vintage
Fruity and generous
The 2023 vintage experienced unpredictable weather conditions, making work in the vineyards essential for grape quality. Harvesting began in early September under intense heat with the Chardonnays to avoid over-ripening, followed by the reds. The whites will spend two winters in the cellar, while the Pinot Noirs will have undergone short ageing to preserve the fruity aromas. A vintage that brings out the best in each terroir, offering wines that are bright and delicious.
Ageing potential: from 6 to 9 years.
Tasting notes
With its brilliant garnet-red color, this wine expresses itself through an intense bouquet of black fruits, enhanced by delicate hints of leather and black pepper. On the palate, it is structured and deep, carried by pronounced tannins that give a fine structure to the finish. Young, it may reveal a certain tannic firmness, but will gain in suppleness and harmony with age.
